Season Seven (1980-1981)
143. DEAREST ALBERT, I'LL MISS YOU
November 17, 1980
Albert begins to correspond with a pen-pal. He exaggerates about himself
in order to impress her and, in time, falls in-love with the girl in the
letter. What Albert doesn't know is that she has also been exaggerating
and is actually confined to a wheelchair. Charles accompanies Albert to
surprise her in-person. When she does not want to see him, Albert thinks
its because he didn't live up to his letters -- but it's actually because
she didn't live up to hers. Albert realizes this when he surprises her
the next morning. He tells the truth about himself and hope they could
continue an honest relationship as pen-pals.
