This site is open daily between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm, May through October 15. The Pepin Historical Museum features history on Laura. The Little House Wayside is open when the snow melts and closes when the snow is too deep to get to it.

This society holds the annual The Laura Ingalls Wilder Days, which will be held on September 18 & 19, 2004. No schedule has been released yet of the particular events.

2004 also marks the first year for the Laura Ingalls Quilt Challenge. There are categories for both adult and children.

Deadline for entry form: August 30
Deliver quilts & wall hangings: Sept. 10-17
Contest Dates: Sept. 18-19
